17 people died after the Branson attraction boat ‘Ride the Ducks’ capsized on Table Rock Lake July 19. The accident was initially reported as a “mass casualty incident” involving a “tourist type boat” on Table Rock Lake.

Officials say it is one of the deadliest duck boat accidents in United States history.

Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens resigned amid a sexual misconduct scandal and allegations of misuse of a charity donor list.

Greitens previously said he would not quit his post despite the allegations against him.

The lawmaker was accused of taking and transmitting a non-consensual — partially nude — photo of a woman with whom he was having an affair. A felony invasion-of-privacy charge levied against him by the state was dropped.

Greitens was replaced by Missouri Lieutenant Gov. Mike Parson.
