About

I am an award-winning Multimedia Producer with nearly 10 years of digital and broadcast experience.

With obtaining a degree in Broadcast Journalism, my goal is to report on complex issues in the world and bring awareness to communities.

After graduating, I went from intern to Executive Producer at FOX 5 KRBK in just under two years. In 2018, I moved to Kansas City, Missouri where I became lead nightside producer at KMBC in just six months. Now, I am the 11 p.m. producer at WESH-TV in Orlando, Florida.

My passion for journalism began in college where I worked tirelessly at offering a voice to a group of diverse students. I became the co-founder and editor of an online university newsletter, The Black Bear, which gained national attention when protests transpired after the shooting death of Mike Brown in Ferguson, Mo. This prepared me for continuing coverage of the George Floyd protests in the summer of 2020 where demonstrators in the Kansas City area walked the streets for justice while being tear gassed and arrested by law enforcement.

Working in Missouri has allowed me to cover notable local and national stories including the breaking coverage of the Ride the Ducks boat tragedy in Branson; the kidnapping of 10-year-old Hailey Owens and the trial of her killer; and coverage of the Kansas City Chiefs becoming back to back AFC Champions along with giving viewers the best Super Bowl experience right to their homes.

My experience in covering politics includes the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections. I also managed and produced the coverage of the 2018 Governor Greitens indictment scandal and his resignation.

In 2020, COVID-19 brought many changes to our everyday lives. Due to changes in the newsroom, my responsibility increased when I became the only nightside producer Monday-Friday. For months, I took on producing KCWE’s 60 minute 9 p.m. newscast as well as the 35 minute 10 p.m. newscast on KMBC. Management trusted me to oversee our news team of anchors, reporters and assignment desk to bring the latest on the pandemic while covering other important news.

On June 1, 2021, I transitioned to Orlando where I produce the 11 p.m. weeknight newscast. I frequently produce the 6 p.m. newscast while also filling a senior producer role in the absence of the executive producer. In 2022, I was nominated for an Emmy with the Suncoast chapter for the 6 p.m. newscast I produced covering the tragedy at Icon Park where a young boy fell to his death on the FreeFall ride. In 2023, I received an Edward R. Murrow Award as a part of the team that covered the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.

I am also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated serving my community proudly while upholding the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood.
